winning author Erwin Wunderlich as he
presents The Civil War in Florida

Dr. Erwin Wunderlich is a fifth-generation Floridian who writes fiction books and articles that touch on the state's history.  He graduated from Manatee High School in 1971 and later attended the U.S. Naval Academy.  Erwin's novel Salvos on the Backwater won the Patrick D. Smith Award for historical fiction, along with Royal Palm Literary Awards for best fiction and best book overall.  His three Florida heritage children's books, When Cal Went to Juniper Springs, When Cal Went to the Family Reunion, and When Cal Went to the Blueberry Farm each received Mom's Choice Awards.  While working as a Director at West Point, he wrote his Florida's Early West Point Cadets, which is pending publication by the Florida Historical Society.
